Airsoft in Israel: where to play, the rules, and how to start
Last updated: · By Airsoft Ghost, an Israeli airsoft YouTube channel that films head-cam games at fields in Israel.
Short answer: airsoft in Israel is played at licensed clubs and fields. Under a firearms-law amendment that came into force in 2025, replica guns may only be held and used through licensed sporting venues — players can't keep them at home. Most fields rent the full kit, so a beginner just books a game.
Where can you play airsoft in Israel?
Airsoft in Israel runs through organised fields that host group games, team-building days and private events. Two well-known fields with their own websites:
| Field | Area | What they offer |
|---|---|---|
| Magen Airsoft | Central Israel | Group games and fun days (minimum 10 players), company events, gear and scenarios provided, professional instructors. |
| WW3 Airsoft Club | Kfar Sumei, Galilee (north) | Indoor and outdoor scenarios — urban, forest and open field — plus team-building days and birthday events. |
Fields open, close and change their rules, so check the field's own site or Instagram before you go. The sport also has a registered non-profit, the Israel Airsoft Association (אגודת איירסופט ישראל – למען ספורט).

Is airsoft legal in Israel?
Yes, as a sport at licensed venues. Israel treats airsoft replicas as regulated items, and the rules tightened in 2025:
- Licensed venues only. An amendment to Israel's firearms law, passed in August 2023 and delayed by the war, came into force in 2025. Holding or carrying imitation weapons that can be converted into firearms outside licensed sporting venues is now a criminal offence, punishable by up to a year in prison (Ynetnews).
- No replicas at home. Licences are issued through authorised clubs. A ministry official told Ynetnews that even a registered player with a serial-numbered rifle cannot take it home.
- Sale and import are licensed. Airsoft replicas have long been sold only through licensed retailers in Israel (Wikipedia).
This is a player's summary, not legal advice. The field you book is the best source for the current rules — ask them before you buy anything.
How to start playing airsoft in Israel
- Pick a field and book. Most fields run group bookings. If you don't have a full group, ask whether they run open games you can join.
- Rent, don't buy. The field supplies the replica, full-seal eye protection and BBs. For a first game you need nothing of your own.
- Dress for it. Long sleeves, long trousers, sturdy closed shoes and gloves. In summer, bring at least two litres of water and pick morning games.
- Know the hit rule. Airsoft runs on honesty: when a BB hits you, call “hit”, raise a hand and walk out of play.
- Ask about age. Minimum ages and participation rules differ between fields — check when you book.
